The REMI team by the first Tince’s House

Tince’s House

A warm place to hide

A wooden house with the sign “Tinces māja — always open to cats”

With LNK Industries and the LNK Charity Foundation, we’re building and installing 100 insulated wooden cat houses across Latvia as part of a yearlong project.

The project is named after Tince, a cat found outside in winter. She had nowhere to shelter from the cold, and we couldn’t save her. These houses give other cats a place to stay warm and dry.

The houses offer shelter from freezing weather, rain, and summer heat. We install them in towns and rural areas where people already feed and care for stray cats.

The first houses, built together

We built the first houses with volunteers at Talka 2026, our community cleanup day. Thank you to everyone who helped.

Houses we’ve installed

In towns and in the countryside — where people already feed the cats and look after them. Shelter from frost, rain and summer heat.
